Life Coaching

Life coaching is a collaborative process where a coach helps a client to clarify emotions and thought patterns, overcome inner and outer obstacles, and align discrete action steps toward values and goals.

The coach's job is to provide generative questions, deep listening, exercises to draw out the client's own inner wisdom, and accountability.

The client's job is to bring transparency, curiosity, some courage, and a desire to work through challenges and be happier.

I begin each client relationship with a free 20-30 minute consult call or zoom to give you a taste of working with me. If you decide to continue, I'll guide you through a simple onboarding process that will help me get to know you and what you'd like to work on. From there, I work with people for a minimum package of 6 sessions over three months, continually assessing progress and new goals, and renewing as desired.

FAQ

Is this like therapy?

  • No, and I am not a mental health provider. That said, I'll work with you on understanding how the pieces of your life impact your present decisions, obstacles, and actions. While a therapist would dive more deeply into your past to understand your inner experience, a coach focuses more on what to do about it.

What if I have multiple issues, and don't know where focus or start?

  • It's all good. Each session puts you in the driver's seat, focusing on what feels pressing that day. I'll take care of tracking larger patterns and connections between issues.

Do I have to be religious or spiritual to work with you?

  • No! We can do deep work and make big changes within the realms of thoughts and emotions, hopes and fears, choices and priorities. If spirituality, religion, or cultural worldview are important to you, we'll work with those pieces too. And, I work with a lot of clients who wish to deepen their spirituality but don't know where to start. You be you, and let me take care of the rest!
